Biography
Nicole worked as a professional graphic designer for many years in Dallas, Texas. Then in 1998, after practicing meditation and energetic healing, she began to have a series of spiritual visions which had a profound effect on her artwork. During this time a celestial messenger appeared and guided her to create visionary art as a way to express light and consciousness. For Nicole, this new visual way to communicate translated what was beyond words, into a creative form, that you can clearly see and feel with your heart.
Her colorful pastel drawings and paintings look as if they have emerged from a collective celestial dream. A world where people, angels, nature, and animals are harmonious and peaceful. The color fields are populated with a broad range of characters with a strong focus on family, children and the sacred world of love and imagination. Her approach is to use art as a mirror for you to see the greater aspects of yourself and all life.
Nicole Mizoguchi is herself a traveler upon the superhighways of inner consciousness and dreams. Her work has been featured in publications, at healing expos, art exhibitions, and is in many private collections. From America, she now lives in Tokyo, Japan and continues to create visionary art, teach classes, and create custom Soul Portraits for her international clients.

Artist Statement
After working in the graphic design field, I found that I had become serious about my art and had forgotten how to play. My designs were regulated to creating animal exhibit signs for the City of Dallas Zoo. While I enjoyed it, I knew that it was not my life purpose. What I really wanted was to express art from my soul and to inspire people through art.
At first I felt very stiff and wanted to recapture the freedom of expression that I knew as a child. I even blew bubbles, played jax, practiced meditation and other activities to reawaken my ability to imagine and play. By reconnecting with myself, it allowed my creativity to soar. My work continues to expand and change as I grow.
In my journey, I've had many mystical experiences. They have effected my life and guided my art from graphic design to inspirational visionary art. My work expresses and reveals the parts of life that exist beyond normal words and explanations. It is my intention that the images and energy of the art will awaken and inspire you.
Art Technique
I developed a way to create art, which allows me to release any conscious plans for a particular composition or subject. Instead, I rely more on my imagination and intuition. I randomly blend chalk pastels onto paper with my fingers. Then I gaze into the clouds of colors and see blurry images already forming. Angels, people, landscapes, and animals appear before my eyes. It is similar to finding shapes in clouds, except I see them on the paper in front of me. I then enhance the shapes and images with lines, colors, and textures so that they are easier to see.
My tools are simple: Pastels, Pastel pencils, Canson paper
